Thank You, Louise

I struggled with the temptation to shout out, “Hey, Louise!”

A bad pun on her well-known name, Louise Hay.

Why my thanks?

Actually, there are plenty of reasons.

Starting with a timely post which recently crossed my feed: How Louise Hay Transformed Her Life After 80 — And You Can Too

It’s told that on her 80th birthday, Louise declared that the coming decade would be the best of her life. And following through, on the celebration of her 81st birthday, she gave a premier viewing of a groundbreaking film made during that year. It animates her teachings in story form.

Why timely? Because I was viewing my upcoming 80th birthday with wary eyes. And her story turned my attitude around. I decided, as her example promised, I CAN make it a great day, a wonderful year and a fabulous decade.

I’ve saturated my days with her inspirational books and colorful affirmation cards. For several reasons. First, to keep my vibration high at this critical juncture in time. Second, to make myself familiar with parallels between her work and mine. For example, she speaks of centering and “the power within” almost as if she had the Quantum Life Wheel in mind. Almost.

Second, I’ve made a hobby of collecting oracle and affirmation decks, looking for the best examples upon which to model a possible deck of my own . . . a quantum oracle deck.

I had to decide whether another deck is actually needed in this already crowded field. What blind-spot, what unmet need can I fill? What do I have to contribute to this genre? It has immense appeal to readers with short attention spans, powerfully attracted by brief, concise statements combined with stimulating artwork.

Building up to this week, I’d decided on the image to use for the backs of my deck. It’s the Kabbalah tree of life superimposed upon the sacred geometry of the flower of life. It looks like this:

Brewing in the back of my mind were quantum affirmations for the fronts.

And just in time (a Leo new moon in direct opposition to my Aquarius ascendant), a floodgate opened. First a trickle. Then steady flow. I filled page after page in my journal with affirmations. For example,

I AFFIRM: I Am One with God the Creator Source. All that not of Truth falls away, dissolves and disappears. I am free.

I AFFIRM: I live fully present in the moment of NOW. Past and future do not exist as I focus on creating the perfection of this day.

I AFFIRM: Every day is a fresh start, building on the foundation of loving commitment, incrementally increasing the benefits of wisdom in all directions.

I AFFIRM: It is my duty and supreme pleasure to nourish and becare my health on all levels, the better to serve God and humanity as I am called.

I AFFIRM: I give thanks for unknown blessings already on their way, trusting they will arrive in the right way at the right time.

I AFFIRM: I see with the eyes of unconditional love, having mercy on suffering humans who know not what they do.

I AFFIRM: I align all aspects of my life with the purpose of serving humanity as a white magician in higher realms of experience.

I AFFIRM: The blessings and abundance of God flow in as I open to gratefully receive that which is meant for me.

I AFFIRM: Joy is my natural birthright, freely shared with my spiritual family of co-workers on the path of mutual support and cooperation.

In each case, artwork will place the language of these affirmations within the Quantum Life Wheel, to establish the mindset of thinking in terms of levels of experience.
