The Tao Is Indifferent, But I Am Not — 010621

Early this morning, on the day historians are calling the Warterloo moment of the United States, I queried the I Ching three times.

I asked, “What should we know about Biden, radical dems and the CCP?” Next, “What should we know about President Trump?” Finally, I asked for myself, “What should I be aware of NOW?”

In sum, from its universal perspective, the Book of Change doesn’t seem to care which leader prevails. It endures, either way. Its ends will be accomplished, no matter how far humans stray from the law. The Tao is all-inclusive. It encompasses and (in the end) brings us all home.

HOWEVER, from my mortal perspective, I care deeply. I woke up today feeling heartsick and afraid, overwhelmed by the magnitude of events. To me, the gravity of immanent danger in combination with the corruption and/or cowardice of entrenched upper classes is beyond appalling.

The danger is very real to me. During WW II, my maternal grandmother’s Viennese relatives were exterminated in German death camps. As relatives who died in Stalin’s concentration camps or Mao’s equivalent all know: fated to fail as they always are, in the short-term, lustful fantasies of world domination come at a tragically high price.

First I’ll share relevant passages from the Tao Te Ching which express a sage-like overview on today’s events. Then, in the reading section, thinking it may resonate with you as well, I’ll share the answer to my personal question.

In poetic versions of Lao Tze’s Tao Te Ching, the fifth passage begins, “Heaven and Earth are heartless / treating creatures like straw dogs”.

Here, heartless doesn’t necessarily mean cruel so much as detached or indifferent. “Straw dogs” were ceremonial dolls usually discarded after their use.

Here’s how the meaning came through for me:

The first two verses of the following Passage are also to the point:

Yet, though the Tao is impartial, you can take heart from this (and have a caution):

FAMILY is the original answer to today’s personal question, “What should I be aware of NOW?” it reads”

Inside the FAMILY one learns to play out given roles. This makes later success in roles on the job and in the larger community possible. Clearly defined relationships make communication easy. Respectful cooperation with others earns trust and acceptance from the human family. Avoid roles not suited to your nature.

In my case, within the human family, I don’t have a lot to contribute to today’s DC confrontation. As much as I wish participants well, I dread crowds. I’m not suited by nature to be either an event organizer, a politician, attorney or news commentator.

So I contribute as I can, doing what I love to do . . . writing. In the long-term, there’s an underlying false paradigm driving today’s event. My eventual contribution – when folks calm down enough to wean themselves off of stimulating conflicts – may be to advocate adoption and dissemination of the correct, compete and accurate Quantum Paradigm which will correct the mistakes driving today’s chaos and eventually create a better future.

What are you suited by nature and skills to contribute? Are you actually doing it? If not, why?

Advice of the 4th Line reads, “Any attempt to serve will benefit leaders and followers equally.”

This line confirms not only that my efforts will benefit others, but that in the long-term, it’s a blessing, not a drain, for me to keep writing.

Advice heeded, the line changes to Community:

Commitment to COMMUNITY is a necessary part of individual growth. Choose leaders who can express common goals with clarity. They will know how to assign work according to ability so that all prosper. In the harmonious community, Creative Power expresses through the skillful work of individuals. Avoid all selfishness.

Community is built on the foundation of Family. Again, the issue of roles arises. And, again, I invoke Creative Power to suffuse my work with wisdom in a way others will find beneficial.

* * *

Advice of the 6th, Top Line reads: “Rise above worldly concerns. Create good work of lasting value.” This gets my personal YES!! Financial compensation would be nice, but it doesn’t motivate me. God always, miraculously, if not a moment too soon, provides. I will somehow continue to get by.

What really floats my boat is the hope that the creative work which flows through me will be found valuable in the long-term. Ever since 1977, when a School Board Association mentor made the comment, I’ve been told I’m ahead of the times. So be it. In the meantime, it’s my job to be sure what’s needed is ready and available for when the times are finally ready for me.

Advice heeded, the line changes to Completion:

Perfected actions reach COMPLETION. From this balance, however, new elements spring forth which create future imbalance. In this way, the cycles of nature are continued. This is not cause for sadness. Perfection lies in the whole life process, not in the beauty of a single peak moment. Avoid rigid attachment.

Who knows? Cycles large and small are nested, wheels-within-wheels. Certainly 2020 saw the end of a major cycle. The year 2021 marks the beginning of a new one. Will I survive to see its completion? so long as the work endures, it doesn’t matter.

Do you plan on surviving? If so, how and why?

Advice heeded, the composite of changing lines results in the final outcome of Change.

Day and night replace each other in endless cycles of CHANGE. The same natural law generates flux in human events. The unprepared see change as a threat, but the well-prepared face the unknown calmly. They know that after degeneration reaches critical mass, regeneration follows. Welcome the new. Avoid short-sighted fear.

This hexagram is the outcome of the first post, We’re At Critical Mass, in The Lessons of 2020. The year 2020 saw a culture building to a constitutional crisis. The Waterloo moment of January 6, 2021 marks its culmination.

Whatever the outcome of the election controversy, it is best to Avoid short-sighted fear.

Welcoming Change doesn’t necessarily mean liking it. It’s enough to remain open, rather than resisting whatever may come. Accepting the future brings, giving it space to evolve, leaves me open to recognize and make the best of new opportunities.

I hope you choose to remain courageously, confidently open to the opportunities in your future. May 2021 be kind to you all.

The Pinnacle of Peace – IC – 122820

In the wake of Christmas 2020, approaching a New Year, with civil war brewing in the midst of an unprecedented constitutional crisis, I listened for a second time to the second part of Jan Jekielek’s Epoch Times interview with Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn. It’s called Will the American Republic Survive?

I urge you to listen to and carefully ponder General Flynn’s comments on the future of this country. He’s a truly honorable man of wisdom, uncommon good sense, and integrity. Here’s a direct quote, transcribed from the beginning:

What we have to understand in this country is, that this country is an experiment. Empires come and go. Nation-states fail. Are we still growing as the beacon of hope for the rest of the world? I still believe that in my heart.

But I know that there is a dimension of our experiment that is sort of in our face right now. . . We the people — the American public — have to decide what is it that they want. Because we will not last forever.

General Flynn elaborated on the degeneration of the three branches of government that each treated him with “brutal” injustice. Here, I couldn’t resist typing in a comment:

Keep perspective, Gen. Flynn. Remember the work of Kuhn on Paradigm Shifts. The dying order sees you [along with our President] — the voices of the future — as an existential threat to their survival. Temporary “power holders” with vested interest in the past historically resist change with all their might. The extent of their brutality towards you is exactly in proportion to the greatness of your light shining to expose their darkness.

Now, why is it called a paradigm shift? Technically it’s not a shift to something new. Actually, it’s a return to the perennial philosophy which wisdom traditions East and West share in common.

The honorable General is in synch with that wisdom. As he says, having read enough history, he recognizes that there are repeating cycles of history. He also recognizes the existence of levels of law and the importance of their being in alignment. The shift he represents is a return from out-of-alignment, secular fragmentation back to one of Unity. It looks like this:

General Flynn also speaks of the danger to the Republic when “so-called leaders” act as if they were above human law. He anticipates a higher accounting for those who aren’t held accountable in human law courts. Lawless officials, driven by ambition and selfish self-interests rather than being motivated by service, act as if the pinnacle of achievement were a matter of ephemeral control and dominance on the surface of the Life Wheel.

Here’s a picture worth of a book of words to show you what I mean:

For lack of space, I offer you a few bullet points. Each qualifies General Flynn’s observations:

  • Asked what might steer us in the direction of preserving the Republic, he emphasizes the importance of upgrading education, especially in civics and history. I would add, of paradigms. I would also restore the pristine definition of education, which means to lead from darkness to light.
  • Across the centuries, limited leaders repeatedly fall into the same mistake: a false paradigm which assumes that the pinnacle of power resides in a human hierarchy with a few leaders at the top, the majority beneath them at the bottom base. To correct this mistake, we need a complete and accurate paradigm, common to all, not reserved exclusively to hermits living in monastaries, caves or mountain tops.
  • The General speaks of the Bible as being foundational to the Constitution and written into America’s very DNA. I would add that 8,000 plus years of I Ching wisdom is written into the DNA of China’s culture. Just as some would rip ancestral wisdom out of America’s DNA, some have sought to rip the wisdom out of China’s DNA. It needs similar restoration. Were each culture to restore its own traditions and honor the underlying, universal truth shared in common, everyone worldwide would benefit.
  • General Flynn says All this town [DC] has done is get us and keep us in wars. He asks, What’s the aberration. Is peace the aberration or is war the aberration? In response, here are two suggestive paragraphs from Rethinking Peace:

In I Ching context, peace is an inward state of calm that manifests as outward poise. External conditions will always be in flux. Therefore, looking for peace in the world is an exercise in futility. Internal states, however, are subject to self-governance. . . .

The sage takes responsibility for attaining inner peace. Inner quiet begets the attitude of confidence, which in turn generates acts of compassion, courage and generosity. World organizations which would impose military peace upon warring nations comprised of individuals each at war internally have no hope of success.

Respecting the constitutional crisis at hand, I defer to The Laws of Change published by Jack Balkin, a Yale professor of constitutional law. Striking relevance to immediate concerns will be self-evident.

BREAKTHROUGH is the initial answer to the question, “What should we be aware of today at the current stage of the ongoing constitutional crisis?”

Balkin calls the hexagram Biting Through. Keywords he lists include: Reform, Acting decisively, Administering punishments, and Doing justice. He comments:

The obstruction represents an obstruction to harmony or unity, and a corresponding need for justice or reform. Faced with obstruction, we must proceed with energy and clarity to remedy the problem immediately.

He continues:

This is not a time to be meek and pliant. Attack the problem with energy and determination. If you do not act quickly and decisively, the problems will not go away, and it may only become worse. Nevertheless, this does not mean that you should be reckless. Prompt and efficient action is necessary, but your action should be based on clear thinking rather than emotion. And it should be the result of careful planning rather than blind instinct. The best approach now is one that is firm but reasonable, fair but resolute.

* * *

After evolving through permutations of the third and fourth lines, the final outcome is SHADOW. Balkin calls this hexagram Darkening of the Light. Key words include Eclipse, Brilliance injured, Censorship, Keeping a low profile, and Hiding your feelings. He comments:

Here an inferior person is in control. An upright minister must keep in the background and hide his brilliance during a time of darkness and adversity.

He continues:

Hostile circumstances require you to accept the situation outwardly for the time being. But you must never surrender. Hold fast to your enduring values and to your ultimate goals. Remember who you are and what you stand for. . .

When the sun descends below the horizon, is does not disappear forever. It merely goes into hiding for a time. Anyone who thinks that the sun will never rise again has lost touch with reality. The same is true in your situation. Things will eventually improve.

Deceptive, censoring, complicit corporate media giants notwithstanding, it’s not over.

WHAT IF? – IC – 121420

December 14th‘s New Moon is in Sagittarius — sign of wisdom, faith and optimism, ruler of careers in the judiciary, military, broadcasting and higher education. He’s a centaur — half man, half horse — pictured with an arrow pointed upwards, charging towards his destiny. In Greek mythology, Sagittarius is a healer whose wisdom links Heaven and Earth.

New Moons usually offer the opportunity to make a fresh start. But today’s is full of contradictions.

It comes at 2020’s low ebb, the darkest hour of winter. It shares space with and is marred by the unhealthy, regressive energies of a South Node – overwhelm, hopelessness, and avoidance. It magnifies unwillingness to face life. “I can’t deal with it any more.”

Still worse, this New Moon is eclipsed. The sun’s light is literally, if temporarily, hidden. Blacked out. The positive qualities of Sagittarius are blighted. Law, order, and communication are at rock bottom. Not looking good for the Electoral College’s scheduled proceedings. (We’ll see.)

That was the bad news. On the flip side, there’s good news ahead.

Eclipses are like a computer shut-down and reset. When systems come back on-line, they’re upgraded. You wake up from a temporary funk to operate at a higher level. Then you’ll find you’ve got your inner spark and spunk back. You’ll see the light at the end of the tunnel.

This solar eclipse New Moon offers the opportunity to break free from South Node escapism. The impossible now seems possible. The power to face life with firm resolve is renewed. Your “can do” gene is switched on.

Let your heart not be troubled. This powerful eclipse is followed in short-order by an even more powerful reset. The planets which rule law and order, Jupiter and Capricorn, both move from a dark, heavy place to a more positive, enlightened location. They join (which happens only once in 20 years) to begin a fresh new cycle.

That’s a lot of jargon. Here’s the upshot. However dark and regressive events may seem right now, it’s almost over, Starting on December 21st with the winter solstice, a new era lies ahead. The archetypal pattern repeats. At the lowest, darkest point of the year, energies reverse. They start to move forward again towards the light. Wisdom, faith and optimism return.

End-stage 2020 dynamics are the last gasp of a decades-long conflict. The issues facing us now have been brewing behind the scenes, waiting for the right time to surface and be released. For example, here are two sample Essay Sketches written in the year 2000.

Sound familiar?

Here’s another:

In this context, at the time of this temporarily eclipsed New Moon, think about possible reset alternatives going forward.

WHAT IF:

  • . . . we decided to tune out distracting external conflicts long enough to calm down, clean out the inner swamp, and think carefully about what we believe, intend, and in that context, recognize who our real friends and enemies are.
  • . . . we recognized the choice between right and left-hand paths and chose wisely.
  • . . . we saw through the ancient tactic of “distract and divide in order to conquer,” and acted to reunite our country.
  • . . . we recognized that incendiary information being released is intended to set us at each other’s throats, luring us into the trap of civil war, making us easy prey for foreign overlords take over – and didn’t take the bait.
  • . . . we used this extraordinarily powerful solar reset New Moon to set a positive intention for the future, one that cancels out the decades-long dynamics that have driven us to Constitutional crisis at end-stage 2020.
  • . . . we returned to the essence of wisdom traditions embodied in the timeless I Ching and shifted away from false, fragmenting beliefs towards the complete and accurate Quantum Paradigm.

We’re not taught to look to the Book of Change for answers to our deepest questions. That’s why I’ve been bringing the book to you. Through the end of 2020, bi-weekly posts have been intended make what was once unfamiliar now familiar.

ADVERSITY is the unchanging answer to the solar eclipse New Moon question, “What should we be aware of NOW?” It reads:

ADVERSITY is a test of fortitude. When it cannot be prevented, the wisest response is acceptance. Use times of hardship as opportunities to strengthen character and focus on inner resources. Misunderstandings are likely to occur. Remain calm, take care of yourself and support those who depend on you. Avoid despair.

How can we count the hardships which beset the world at end-stage 2020? In alpha order, here’s a short-list related to COVID and draconian lock-downs:

It seems as if the angel of death has been loosed. It’s out and about, stalking the land.

On December 14th, those of faith are warned to protect themselves and those they care for by keeping their minds, hearts and physical doors safely sealed, allowing the wrath of God to pass over, leaving them untouched and better for having survived the ordeal.

Eclipse season is not a time for the faint of heart. STAND TALL. STAY THE COURSE. Use this magical reset time to imagine a better future.

Choose Wisely, My Friend

THE EXISTENTIAL ISSUE

It is widely held that knowledge is power.

It’s also widely known that power corrupts.

This begs the important questions, What is power? Where does it come from?

For example, Eckart Tolle tells us about The Source of True Power. Consistent with the Quantum Paradigm, he speaks of an inner light that dispels the darkness of ignorance and human suffering.

In Life Wheel context, power takes on new meanings at each, increasingly deeper level. Energy, vitality, emotional maturity, self-mastery and spiritual wisdom are all pieces of the larger power puzzle.

However, in the empirical science paradigm, only the m=mass surface of the Life Wheel exists. The inner levels of e=energy and c=light are ruled out. In this world view, power is exclusively a matter of physical strength, ownership and control. All things — including human beings and other life forms — are simply objects to be owned, dominated and controlled.

From this limited perspective, world-domination wannabes continue to make the same mistake. Like the song, Everybody Wants To Rule the World, emperors of ancient China assumed their country was the Center of the world. Outsiders were mere barbarians to be subordinated.

Not to be outdone, in the name of Christianity, Europeans later conquered “natives” in the Americas, India, China and Japan.

Coming back circle, the CCP now seeks revenge, upping the ante of the vicious circle in spades. Trading on general ignorance of Natural Law, human nature and methods of self-mastery, they play on lust, greed, pride and fear to seduce, compromise and control their enemies.

What misguided rulers everywhere overlook is that civilizations are ephemeral. They come and go on the surface of the Life Wheel while the timeless Source of power abides deep within at the Center.

Real Genius, the 1985 science fiction comedy film starring Val Kilmer and Gabriel Jarret captures the contrast. These heroes not only think like a genius. They ACT like geniuses. Set in competition against each other by greedy professors and military leaders, they join forces instead. Rather than creating a nuclear weapon, they organize a hilarious, world-class prank.

True to the Life Wheel, lyrics of the movie’s background music capture the essence of this story. “Nothing lasts for ever. Turning our backs on mother nature backfires. Creating weapons of nuclear war reflects lack of vision.”

* * *

THE ULTIMATE CHOICE

Since knowledge as power has been abused to selfish, destructive ends throughout history, wisdom traditions must be continuously be repaired and re-visioned to overcome distortions.

The age-old power question remains. Which side are you on? Do you operate from the belief that Might Makes Right? Or from the understanding that Right Makes Might?

As end-stage 2020 is at risk of erupting into orchestrated civil war, the following image and pair of verses clarify the choice before us:

CHOOSE WISELY, MY FRIEND!

In fact, it’s okay – not only possible but wise, to make both America AND China great again, each in their own way. Greatness isn’t an either/or choice.

But believing any country could ever be the Center of the world is a different subject. It’s simply stupid. Obsolete. To place any country or person above others is a mistake that cannot stand. Not possible. Depending on the seriousness and size of that false claim, it ranges from silly to deeply dangerous.

One of countless variations on that mistake is saying, “God is great,” meaning “only my religion’s concept of God is great. Death to all who follow any religion other than mine.”

To repeat: God at the Center abides without prejudice within each and every one of us. The Center of the Life Wheel is the Source of greatness for any and all who hear and honor the voice of conscience.

POWER TO THE PEOPLE

Why are truth traditions, including the I Ching, out of fashion? In part, because knowledge is power, a commodity rulers want to hide and hoard to themselves. In pristine form, made widely available, access to Source made possible through wisdom traditions gives power to the people. For example, in the last cycle, Martin Luther’s translation of the Bible, giving it to the people to read for themselves for the first time, was a major leap forward.

At end-stage 2020, truth at every level is being systematically distorted, ridiculed and suppressed to keep ordinary Hobbit deplorables in the dark. Material facts as well as religious freedom are being ruthlessly suppressed.

But two wrongs don’t make a right. Because the venerable I Ching has been forsaken by the Chinese doesn’t mean Westerners should follow suit, imitating disrespect, tit for tat.

Correctly used, the I Ching, serves as a means for reconnecting the ordinary mind with inner guidance and conscience. Too often, people use it to figure out how to get whatever it is they want. Dilutions are endless. For example, The Art of War uses the dynamics of Natural Law to win in conflict. Whether your goal is to protect innocents from harm or to destroy them is irrelevant.

Many corruptions apply I Ching principles to winning in business . . at all costs. For example, Number 10 of The 36 Stratagems is called either Hide a Knife in a Smile, Conceal a Knife Behind a Smile, or Use Kindness to Hide Cruelty. Here’s how it’s done:

Act as if you are harmless or a friend in order to get close. Then suddenly attack.

Give gifts and send formal delegations of friendship. Sign treaties. Host sumptuous parties. Show every sign of respect and concern for them until they trust you completely (or at least enough for you to achieve your goals).

Make friends with their key officials who have important information. Make these more loyal to you (or otherwise bribe or blackmail them) so they will betray their employers.

Plot your moves in deepest secret and unleash them at speed so there is no chance for reprisals, counter-attack or other ways of defending.

Sound familiar?!!!

In such perversions, deceit, back-stabbing and betrayal come highly recommended as “fair game.” In reviewing Strategy 10, it seems the CCP isn’t the only one borrowing from the book to undermine elections. Either Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and media elites have been infiltrated and become weaponized tools of anti-American censorship by communist enemies, or else they’ve voluntarily schooled themselves in the corrupt, business-as-war mentality.

American patriots at end-stage 2020 who have been targeted by exactly this kind of dark-side warfare keep good company with Julius Caesar and even Christ.

How do we protect ourselves and those we care for? Is there a remedy? Of course. Cultivate self-awareness, deeper than deep. Read your Bible. Follow the Ten Commandments. Seek refuge in truth traditions in their pristine form. They trump superficial perversions every time. In the words of General Michael Flynn spoken to the crowd gathered in Washington D.C. on 12-12-20:

We will win the spiritual battle for the heart and soul of the nation. We are in a crucible moment. The Truth will prevail. We fight with faith and courage. We will knock down the Jericho walls of the deep state with light and truth. Truth will always triumph over lies.

Miracles We Shouldn’t Take For Granted – IC – 121020

At times when it seems as if one’s resources are exhausted, care must be taken to soften the harmful effects of DEPRESSION.” Until today, this reading was woven into the fabric of 2020.

But we’ve finally reached a turning point. Not coincidentally, December 10th is the first day of Hanukkah. At the low-ebb of winter darkness, it begins the eight-day holiday which celebrates the miracle of light.

It’s not just an ancient holy day. It tells a timeless story that repeats over and over throughout the cycles of time, December 2020 being one of them. Humanity has been around this curve before. Wisdom traditions serve to put current events in perspective.

In this week, the inner, eternal light which miraculously sustains us during hard times is celebrated. Historically, Judah Maccabee and his group of rebel followers recaptured the stolen Temple of Jerusalem. The story goes that afterwards, when it came time to rekindle the Lamp of Eternal Light – the Menorah – there was only enough oil to last one day. But, miraculously, the flame continued to burn brightly until more arrived – a full eight days later.

The threat of oil running out and the flame going out is the essence of Depression. Resources seemed to be exhausted. But . . . with a little help from friends. . . the light endured, uninterrupted.

But that’s not the only similarity between the past and present. Once again, a center of civilization, in this case the White House, is threatened by a hostile (deeply, darkly covert) take-over. Then as now, the enemies of freedom oppress the practice of religion.

And a small, self-described “rag tag” team of protectors led by Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, Jenna Ellis and Michael Flynn is valiantly defending the Constitution, giving their all to reclaim their country’s mantle as a beacon of light to the world.

We’re not taught to look to the timeless Book of Change for answers to our deepest questions. That’s why I’ve been bringing the book to you. Through the end of 2020, bi-weekly posts have been intended make what was once unfamiliar now familiar.

COMMUNITY is the original but dynamic answer to today’s question, “What should we be aware of NOW?”

Interestingly, a pattern similar to the last reading which moved from Restraint to Determination repeats today. Again, three lines of the hexagram change, with emphasis on the mental and spiritual levels of the Life Wheel. It begins:

Commitment to COMMUNITY is a necessary part of individual growth. Choose leaders who can express common goals with clarity. They will know how to assign work according to ability so that all prosper. In the harmonious community, Creative Power expresses through the skillful work of individuals. Avoid all selfishness.

The miracle of a harmonious, prosperous community is necessary to human life. Today, divisions are enforced in the name of a health crisis weaponized to political ends. Dangerously, when social distancing and religious suppression take hold, the blessings of community can not be taken for granted.

As traditional social structures continue to fail us on many fronts, it’s natural seek out friends and form groups with common interests. Pastor Joe Fox, for example, speaks of MAGs (Mutual Assistance Groups). At Shofar Mountain, he leads an intentional community.

* * *

Advice of the 3rd line reads, “When motives become unclear, mistrust grows. Restore clarity in time.” When careful thought is given to clarify motives and reestablish trust, this line changes to Clarity:

Cultivate CLARITY. Listen to the pure and childlike voice of your inner being. Even if this results in new and unexpected experiences, you will benefit. Take joy in being true to your Self. Modified by consideration for others, this will give you creative abilities. Avoid fearful attachment to the familiar.

End-stage 2020 is a time to remember our basic values. We’re called to rethink how community is created and sustained.

And, Yes. In this uncertain time, survival will depend on following conscience wherever it leads. Attachment to the past is futile. Trusting in the promising potentials of an unknowable future is the best way to get through current confusions.

* * *

Advice of the 4th line reads, “If you have become isolated, understand why and correct yourself.” When heeded, the line changes to Family:

Inside the FAMILY one learns to play out given roles. This makes later success in roles on the job and in the larger community possible. Clearly defined relationships make communication easy. Respectful cooperation with others earns trust and acceptance from the human family. Avoid roles not suited to your nature.

Taoists and Confucians agree that well-ordered families are the basic building blocks of community. These families need not be nuclear or biology-based. Wherever people come together around common purpose, shared values and love of life, they become family.

* * *

Advice of the 6th, top line reads: “Work for a larger purpose, either alone or with others.” Once an overview of the big picture is careful considered, and purposeful plan of action is chosen, we’re read to get to work in all ways. At that point, the line transforms:

Day and night replace each other in endless cycles of CHANGE. The same Natural Law generates flux in human events. The unprepared see change as a threat, but the well-prepared face the unknown calmly. They know that after degeneration reaches critical mass, regeneration follows. Welcome the new. Avoid short-sighted fear.

Indeed, We’re At Critical Mass, as stated in the first post of this series. But the miracle of regeneration is at hand. The extraordinarily powerful eclipse season we’ve entered begins not only a new 20-year cycle, but also ushers in still longer-range changes (depending on how it’s calculated). Rick Levine, for example, says:

. . . this upcoming conjunction is part of the Great Mutation Cycle, one-quarter of the 800-year Grand Conjunction Cycle.

This is HUGE. It can’t be understated.

Now, as in during Columbus’s exhausting first voyage, there’s no turning back. But for those with the vision and spine to Stay the Course, the risk, wait and work will be worth every bit of of the effort.

* * *

The composite end result of Community’s changing lines is realistic, not rosy. A New Era is struggling to be born. We are at the earliest stage of a process which must be played out, step-by-step. There will be inevitable Problems along the way:

When a new life is struggling to emerge, there will be PROBLEMS in the beginning. Seek help from people whose ideas and methods can help to create inner and outer stability. Take an active part in the growing process. This will help you to define your own identity. Avoid helplessness.

The Idea which I urgently recommend as the foundation for a better future is the Quantum Paradigm imaged in the Life Wheel. It is the complete and accurate reality map upon which sages and scientists can agree. It embodies Einstein’s intuited Unified Field Theory, placing each the three variables of his famous formula at increasingly deeper levels of experience.

The life-altering change of this fundamental paradigm shift will move civilization away from the fragmenting, limiting empirical science, restoring original wholeness.

Change your paradigm. It changes the way you think and the way you see the world. First the shift will change your personal life. Then, on the wings of butterflies, it will affect lives clear across the globe.

In a Unified world view, each of us is inherently okay. No one can take your inborn divinity away. Simply not possible. Nor can anyone take away the God-given okayness of another fellow human being. (The challenge remains, of course, that by abusing the gift of free will, our own bad choices blight the gift of inner light.)

The Method associated with the quantum Idea is working with the Life Wheel to make our scattered lives whole again. In combination, they give us a means to heal fractures, first within, then in the larger world around us. Restoring light to the world in this practical way would be a miracle indeed. The one I live and pray for.

To make the most of this opportunity, may we each accept that we are all children of God, and choose to live our daily lives in that light.

What Happened to Common Sense?

It wasn’t coincidence that led me to Common Sense as the right way to connect contemporary readers with the timeless wisdom of the Chinese I Ching and Tao Te Ching. I called easy-to-read, no-nonsense versions The Common Sense Book of Change and Two Sides of a Coin: Lao Tze’s Common Sense Way of Change.

I’m certain that in the cosmic scheme of things, it wasn’t coincidence that Tom Paine titled his plain spoken, carefully reasoned call to revolutionary action Common Sense.

So it’s also no coincidence that Rudy Giuliani — the New York mayor who helped heal the nation after 9/11’s assault — calls his website Common Sense.

Recent reviews of Paine’s influential book tells us exactly why:

In these troubling times, this important work reminds us just how unique the USA is, and what was at stake if freedom failed. We face the same type of enemies now, except they are within our own borders. A must read to understand our God given liberties and why they must be preserved.

Sadly, the same great land that gave us treasures of timeless wisdom is now enslaved by tyrants like those our Founders fought to get free of. Rudy is issuing the call of Common Sense to warn citizens that we’re again under attack.

Chinese overlords are systematically ensnaring the greedy, gullible elite with the intention of bringing the world under communist domination. Yet news of earthquake magnitude is being virtually ignored. The messenger is either discredited or silenced. The public is being kept in the dark by a media blackout.

There’s an important explanation for all this.

For that, I go back to another founding document which connects timeless wisdom with current events. The multi-level Life Wheel inherent in yogic teachings was structured into the United States from its beginning. The Declaration of Independence recognizes three levels of law: the laws of man, of nature and nature’s God.

In Rethinking Survival I pictured it this way:

This quantum paradigm includes all the levels combined in Common Sense. Street smarts are necessary, but not enough. Clear thinking and living true to conscience are equally essential to making good decisions.

In 2020, the world is reaping tragic consequences of being controlled by a brainwashed elite. They operate on a paradigm which rules inner levels of the Life Wheel out. That spells the death of common sense.

Generations educated into a paradigm which respects only the material, tangible and measurable have wreaked madness upon planet Earth. Highly educated, entrenched but out-of-touch intellectuals rule all facets of government, education and communications. That spells D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R.

Yeats wrote a poem quoted by Stephen King in his eerily prescient The Stand. In the novel, a suicidal general leaves this death note: “The center does not hold.” That’s the illusion leaders are left with when inner levels of Life Wheel are banned from conscious awareness. It looks like this:

This blog is written in response to a post on the Common Sense site. Mayor Rudy lays out the facts and evidence of inexcusable, probably treasonous crimes. He virtually seethes with moral indignation that the facts are being ignored — withheld from the public at a time when they could make all the difference in a critically important election.

Law enforcement at the highest levels, the press and social media are shielding hardened criminals, he says. Like the Communist Russia of old, they’ve put up an iron curtain to shield criminals from rightful consequences. By censoring truth, they’re flirting with the danger of another dark night, far worse than Stalin’s or Mao’s. It’s looming over the land of the free.

But a brainwashed, godless elite think its okay to play God with the planet’s future. Rudy’s detailed, carefully presented proofs simply don’t matter. They’re inconvenient. They don’t serve the leftist agenda. Common Sense isn’t in their vocabulary.

It remains up to those whose connection with gut feelings and conscience remains intact to tip the balance in favor of human survival.

Ominously, perhaps symbolically, there was an crack in the Liberty Bell which is part our heritage. It needs healing. Fatal fractures in false belief systems call for a revolutionary paradigm shift. As a matter of human survival, we must to restore Common Sense.

May the Force be with us.

Back to What’s Basic – IC – 102620

An unseasonal storm crashed through the area overnight. Violent thunder and lightening interrupted my plans to watch the final presidential debate. I had to turn off the computer.

Echoing a recent post on DISTURBANCE in the Force, the Universe was sending a message. What was it?

The crash bang storm was on the mark. But the reading on the drawing board for today begins with its opposite, GENTLENESS.

Then, preparing breakfast, I stopped in my tracks. “That’s it!”

Leaving food untouched, I turned the computer back on. Looked up Steve Bannon at Citizens of the American Republic and sent a direct Twitter message.

Now, why the interest in Bannon? Steve is attuned to the wisdom of J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy-truer-than-fact. He’s shouldered the Hobbit role of faithful Sam, loyal friend of Frodo, the ring wearer – a/k/a President Trump.

They’re emerging as the heroes foreseen by the Tao Te Ching. Passage 18 describes the critical mass humanity has arrived at . . . yet again.

Without asking why, I did as I knew I should, writing:

STEVE: Pay attention. Harris & Biden are expendables; must ask “Who is using them, to what long-term end?” A multi-level chess game is in play. To succeed, look deeper, see whole picture. All best.

Since plans for this morning were shot, I checked out his website. The term “disruptor” caught my attention.

What’s that? The internet tells me disruptors bring innovations to technology or how service is delivered. Computers replaced typewriters, etc.

Trump defenders see themselves as disruptors of the entrenched swamp’s corruption. Back to the basics upon which our Republic was founded. Integrity. Decency. Faith.

My job? Emphasize that their disruptions go far deeper than political misconduct. They’re throwing a wrench in the UN’s goal of world-domination. Still deeper, they pose a threat to the dark forces driving 2030 plans to dehumanize the planet.

Point out the problem with their strategy. While their extreme-yang warrior approach is vitally necessary, it’s not sufficient. It exposes but cannot heal 2020 madness. The facts of systemic corruption are just that. Mere facts.

To a culturally conditioned public (politicians and media included), ugly acts simply don’t compute. Nor is it enough simply to get rid of ignorant puppets who know not what they do.

In the long-term, what needs replacing is the underlying, false paradigm that drives corruption. The operating system, if you will.

The significant change, shifting gears, is a return to the timeless basics represented in the Unified Field Theory, to the archetypal Life Wheel which embodies a paradigm equally consistent with enduring religions and quantum physics.

It maps the deeper levels of the chess game which underpin the war for human survival, the fight to which Bannon, Rudy Giuliani, Sebastian Gorka et. al. have, in essence, pledged their fortunes and sacred honor. They know they’re fighting for more than just for a presidency, or even a way of life. Our very souls are on the line.

To win this war, defenders must focus on what ultimately matters. Remind the world not only of what’s wrong, but of what’s really at stake. Above all, urge followers to listen to their hearts. Remember the love on every level. Love of God, of family and of country.

Point to the proof. Huge crowds roar out their LOVE for President Trump, while Harris-Biden events are duds. We sense, deeper than deep, that he loves the U.S.. They don’t, and we the delorables, the Hobbits in the trenches, sense that too.

First and foremost, we must restore a complete and accurate paradigm – one that gives us permission to know and be true to who we truly are. Were we to continue operating on a false paradigm that rules out inner levels of the Life Wheel, we’d remain at the mercy of the destructive, dark and hidden agents driving politics and human destiny.

And that cannot be.

The I CHING READING

GENTLENESS is the initial answer to today’s question, “What should we be aware of NOW?” We’ve already seen it twice as a final outcome. In essence, it confirms the importance of appealing to people’s hearts as the healing yin balance to combative, yang disruption.

The bottom line’s warning is, “Don’t act without a clear purpose. Make a decision. Stick to it.” With fidelity to purpose, the line changes to FRUSTRATION, another theme that repeats throughout 2020. It reads in part:

External factors you may not even be aware of will cause FRUSTRATION. New projects will not work out now. This cannot be avoided. Arguing will not influence those who could help.

This reflects the interference of invisible players lurking beneath the surface of the multi-level chess board.

Appropriately, the second line’s warning reads, “Examine your situation most carefully. Be aware of hidden motives.” Know that major players with destructive intentions – like the Evil Emperor in Star Wars — are manipulating behind the scenes, hidden from public view.

This line changes with another confirmation that the way out of 2020 madness is NOT by matching conflict with more of the same, but instead with calm, gentle action:

Completion is the result of gradual, step-by-step DEVELOPMENT. A calm attitude and gentle actions will bring steady progress leading to success. The only way to establish yourself now is to let things develop naturally. Giving in to strong feelings and acting on impulse would defeat your purpose. Avoid hesitation. Avoid haste.

The combined outcome is FAMILY, with its emphasis on respect and cooperation –yet another 2020 theme:

Inside the FAMILY one learns to play out given roles. This makes later success in roles on the job and in the larger community possible. Clearly defined relationships make communication easy. Respectful cooperation with others earns trust and acceptance from the human family. Avoid roles not suited to your nature.

The end goal is harmonious relationship with the entire human family. This reading is so value-rich that, to do it justice, I had to publish a self-standing bonus blog, Family, Community and Organization.

Bottom line: There’s intense pressure – coming from all levels – to destroy core unity. It starts with internal consciousness and extends outwards to breakdown the family unit and then social organization. What’s the consequence of this breakdown? Who wants it?

Do you? If not, what are you willing to do about it? When?

Disturbance in the Force – IC – 102220

Where do we draw the line between fact and fiction? Who’s to say?

With the rise of empirical science, much of what we intuitively experienced as fact had to be disguised. The only way to sneak them under the radar of cultural censorship was to pretend inner energy and light levels of the Life Wheel were fantasy. “Science fiction.”

That’s why Star Wars and Harry Potter films were so hugely popular. When the ongoing war between good and evil had to be relegated to storyland — long, long ago and far, far away — so-called fantasy fed a gaping, hungry hole in the collective psyche.

We could have our cake and eat it too — satisfy inner cravings while denying what we’ve been forbidden to know. “This doesn’t really have anything to do with us today. Not here. Not right now. No way.”

But quantum physics together with stunning research findings is lifting the veil. They’re revealing that what was dismissed as impossible fiction is not only highly possible but very, very close to home. In Becoming Supernatural, for example, Dr. Joe Dispenza documents the way “common people” are being trained to do the “uncommon.”

Chinese sages spoke of the Tao. Biblical prophets deferred to God. For modern day skeptics who write off the ancients, universal wisdom was updated. Star Wars heroes like Yoda, Obe-Wan Kenobe and Luke Skywalker revered the Force.

No difference. They all speak to the same all-powerful, central Source from which energy flows and life emerges.

Yoda tells Luke:

Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? You should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter.

Petty villains and charlatans, of course, deny its existence. Early on, Han Solo tells Luke:

Kid, I’ve flown from one side of this galaxy to the other. I’ve seen a lot of strange stuff, but I’ve never seen anything to make me believe there’s one all-powerful Force controlling everything. There’s no mystical energy field that controls my destiny.

Since he hasn’t “seen” them, the Center of the Life Wheel and middle, e=energy level couldn’t exist.

In contrast, when evil agents intentionally mess with the Force, destroying an entire planet, sensitives are instantly aware. In the original Star Wars movie, Obi-Wan describes a horrible premonition of disaster:

I felt a great disturbance in the Force…as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.

Science fiction serves to keep imagination alive, reminding the world of what the archetypal Life Wheel tells us simple and direct. There are levels to life, deeper than most feel free to acknowledge.

Being kept ignorance of Natural Law and operations of energy puts individuals at great disadvantage, the civilization at terrible risk. It’s too much to include here. So I’ve published a bonus blog on The E=Energy Level of the Life Wheel which all of us should have learned about in school.

Bottom line: in 2020, we urgently need to train and equip a generation of spiritual warriors – a small but effective army of Jedi knights, of Arjunas – to prevent an impending disturbance in the force . . . the disappearance of Planet Earth from among the heavens.

Do you not feel it? Politics are but the surface tip of the iceberg. It wouldn’t be the first time in our solar system. Look for the empty space between remaining planets for your proof.

The I CHING READING

We’re not trained to look to the Book of Change for answers to our deepest questions. That’s why I’ve chosen to bring the book to you. Through the end of 2020, these bi-weekly readings are intended to serve as an introduction, to make what was unfamiliar now familiar.

My comments on Star Wars were triggered by ENERGY, the stand-alone answer to today’s question, “What should we be aware of NOW?” It reads:

By harmonizing the different aspects of one’s internal life, family relationships and job responsibilities, one can make the best use of intrinsic ENERGY. Organizing various inner energies makes it possible to act creatively and dynamically in the external world. Harness energy to worthy goals and projects. Avoid conflict and waste.

The entire quantum paradigm is built into this single reading. If you’re just skimming, it’s all too easy to miss. But it’s vitally important to recognize that the entire outer level of relationships and responsibilities is driven by intrinsic inner energies. If we want to be effective, even successful in life, we must know how (like Jedi knights) to master, harmonize and then harness our energies to serve worthy goals. This, in turn, depends upon underlying allegiance to Source. The Force. CREATIVE POWER.

One caveat here. Energy healers often repeat, “Energy is everything.” On the surface, this may appear to be so. Yes, every THING is spun from energy. BUT this does not mean energy is all there IS. Energy emanates from the deeper level of Light and, deeper still, from the Source of Light.

Nikola Tesla is often quoted to support their misleading claim: “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.

However, this famous quote is listed as 27th among 47 found here. Taken in larger context, you’ll find that Tesla believed in God and recognized energy’s middle place within the larger Life Wheel pattern.

Compare Einstein with Tesla. You’ll find they’re on the same page. Albert said:

A human being is part of the whole called “‘Universe,’ a part limited in time and space. We experience ourselves, our thoughts and feelings as something separate from the rest . . .

This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from the prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. We shall require a substantially new manner of thinking if mankind is to survive.

Nikola said:

What we now want is closer contact and better understanding between individuals and communities all over the earth, and the elimination of egoism and pride which is always prone to plunge the world into primeval barbarism and strife…

Tesla puts the limited and limiting empirical science paradigm in perspective within the larger context of reemerging Natural Law and the quantum paradigm. He wrote:

The history of science shows that theories are perishable. With every new truth that is revealed we get a better understanding of Nature and our conceptions and views are modified.

In other words, it’s not enough to scan the Book of Change for answers to personal questions. To survive 2020 challenges the better for having endured them, it’s essential to restore awareness of energy dynamics. Further, we have to recognize the place of Energy within the larger context of the quantum paradigm’s Life Wheel pattern.

Honor universal wisdom deeper than scientific fact still alive and well in Star Wars fiction.
